Ministry of Consolation As we have just celebrated All Souls Day and remembered our deceased loved ones at Mass, this is an appropriate time to thank those parishioners who are part of our Ministry of Consolation. Ministers of Consolation assist families who have just lost a loved one in the process of planning the funeral liturgy. This is a sensitive time, and many families can feel overwhelmed by the liturgical preparations, selecting the Scripture readings and the liturgical music for the funeral Mass.
