PARISH MISSION March 20– March 22 Father Patrick Griffin CM 9:00 AM Mass followed by Preaching 7:30 PM Prayer Service with Preaching Father Griffin, a Brooklyn native, was ordained as a Vincentian Priest in 1979. He pursued a degree in Biblical Studies and taught at various universities and seminaries as well as ministering in Rome and Paris for the Vincentian Community. Father is presently at St. Johns and is the Executive Director for the Vincentian Center for Church and Society. He greatly enjoys preaching the Word of God and offering retreats to God’s people.

Bishop Barres has given a dispensation from the obligation of abstaining from meat to all Catholics in the Diocese of Rockville Centre on the feast of Saint Patrick (Friday, March 17, 2017). The obligation to abstain meat can be fulfilled on another date or Catholics can adopt another form of penance of the individual’s choosing.

Once again Mary Ann Matteini and Ronnie Tracey will be assembling Easter Baskets for distribution to children who are guests of the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN). If you would like to participate, donations of items to be included in the baskets would be appreciated.
