Welcome, Fr. Emmanuel Mensah

Posted on June 23, 2016

We are pleased to welcome Fr. Emmanuel Mensah, who will be staying with us during July, August, and September.

Fr. Emmanuel was ordained for the Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi (in South-western Ghana) in 1992. He has parish experience as an associate and as a pastor in Ghana as well as in South Africa (Diocese of Witbank). He is familiar with our diocese, having served as a chaplain at Mercy Medical Center, Franklin General Medical Center, Huntington Hospital, the A. Holly Patterson Home, and Glen Cove Hospital.

He is currently the director of the Centre for Human Development (CEHUD) in his home diocese, responsible for on-going formation programs for the clergy and the laity on the provincial level for the Bishops’ Conference of Ghana.

We look forward to getting to know Fr. Emmanuel better during his time in St. Joseph.
