The Year of Eucharistic Revival
2023 Year II:
The Year of the Parish
As we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi – the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – on Sunday, June 11, we begin the second year of the nation-wide Eucharistic Revival called by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops: The Year of the Parish.
To celebrate Corpus Christi here at St. Joseph, we will expose the Eucharist after the 12:30 p.m. Mass and carry it in solemn procession out of the church, to an outdoor altar, there to bless our parish and our village.
We invite our parishioners to take part in this traditional devotion by attending the 12:30 Mass next Sunday and walking in procession, as we carry the Blessed Sacrament out of the church and into our world, where the privileged graces of the Eucharist are so needed.
After the outdoor Benediction, we will return to the church, still in procession, and conclude with a second Benediction before reposing the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle.
Please join us. Bring your children to introduce them to this beloved form of worship: Sunday, June 11, 2023, 12:30 p.m. Mass & Procession.
